Waveland - Willard M. Jarvis, 79, of East Main Street, Waveland was fatally stricken while trapping near Milligan Wednesday. He retired as a carpenter in1966. He was president of the Old Union Cemetery Board and custodian of the cemetery. He was a 1917 graduate of Waveland High School. Born Sept. 26, 1896, he was a son of William M. and Musa Moore Jarvis of Waveland. On Oct 2, 1962, he was married to Para Lee Gillogly. Survivors are his widow, two stepsons, Ronald Gollogly of Crawfordsville and Donald Gillogly of Waveland, and two brothers, Vurlin and Ben of Greencastle. He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Machiedt & Servies Funeral Home at Waveland with the Rev. Steven Fuchs officiating. Burial will be in Old Union Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. Friday.
